Girls in ICT Day 2013 in Portugal,
Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações

Girls in ICT Day, an initiative backed by ITU Member States in ITU Resolution 70, will be celebrated this year on May 9th. The main goal is to create a global environment that empowers and encourages girls and young women to consider careers in the growing field of information and communication technologies (ICTs).

Portugal is joining these celebrations by carrying out a debate at Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações | Museu das Comunicações.

In the opening session, the Portuguese Communications Regulator, ANACOM will spoke about the evolution of the ICT, emphasizing the advanced stage of communications that we live in.

The following part of the session counted with four Portuguese Girls working in different ICT areas (Acredita Portugal, CITE, MICROSOFT and LIDE MULHER Portugal) that pointed out their ideas about this issue.
